While I continue the Italian series, One definitely cannot miss the Vatican Museum (Musei Vaticani)
They exhibit the most famous Roman sculpture and arts displays, The Sistine Chapel ceiling decorated by Michelangelo. It is one of the largest and most visited museum across the Globe.

It has many sculpture and art galleries, while what I like the most was Gallery of maps, it holds the series of topographical maps of Italy (I have been always a fanboy of topography and maps)

Sistine Chapel, one of the most holy Chapel inside Vatican, sadly doesn’t allows camera/photography. But the Michelangelo’s fresco of The Creation of Adam narrates the Biblical creation of Human, God giving life to Adam.
Well the entire gallery are full of wonderful mediaeval arts forms, a true history lover will have a feast of time.

In the end, the Bramante spiral staircase is a treat for any photographer. Its helical shape and the contrasting colors gives an image which remains in mind and heart for a long time

Thanks for sharing. I have an analogue photo of the staircase form our 1984 trip to the museum and always wondered where it was. It was a great trip except for the lousy tour company we chose. Hope all is well with you.
